Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Poroy (Train Station)– Aguas Calientes
Today our guide will pick you up from your hotel, at the indicated time (7:00 am – 7:30 am) and we will head towards Poroy, the train ride lasts 3:30 roughly, this journey takes you to the town of Aguas Calientes.
Peru Rail trains are one of the most top experience train to enjoy while staying here. Cusco and Its eye-catcher landscapes, crops and small rural villages during the journey makes you feel you are one of us.
Upon arrival to Aguas calientes, a representative from your hotel will be holding a sign with your names on it, to posteriorly lead you to the hotel. Leave not needed bags and explore the town on your own.
Day 2: Machu Picchu – Cusco.
At dawn (5:00 am) after breakfast we will walk to catch the bus to Machu Picchu to enter the site when it opens. We will have a guided tour for 2 hours through the site during which the guide will explain the history of the Inca citadel. The tour will be extended according to your questions and visit all the most important areas of the citadel. After your tour, you will have free time to explore the site on your own, In the afternoon we will board the return bus to Aguas Calientes. Then we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo where our driver will bring you back to the city of Cusco – Hotel.
