Day 1: Saqsayhuaman – Pisaq – Ollantaytambo.
We pick you up at 8 am and, we start wit the visit to Saqsayhuaman Inca site famous for its giang monoliths, and great views of the city of Cusco, then we drive towards the Sacred valley, we stop in Pisaq a vibrant town, where we will be able to visit the archaeological remains atop the hill and its colorful market. Finally, drive towards the living inca city of Ollantaytambo, know for its impressive temple complex and well preserved inca streets, the perfect introduction of the Incas.
Day 2: Maras – Moray – Chinchero – Aguas calientes
Today we will start at 8 am from your hotel, we explore the second part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, visit the agricultural laboratory of Moray. Continue with a viti to the maras Salt Mines, thousands of salt pans where locals still produce salt nowadays. Then we drive towards the town of Chinchero, place where weaving culture is kept alive. In the afternoon, take the train to Aguas Calientes with scenic views, we spend the night in this town and prepare for the next day adventure.
Day 3: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu “The lost city of the Incas” – Cusco.
After an early breakfast, be ready at your hotel lobby, we take one of the first buses to Machu picchu, witness one of the most beautiful sunrises around the world. Discover this enigmatic wonder with your guide on a 3 hour tour, later we take the bus down to Aguas Calientes and make your way back to Cusco by train and car. you will be dropped off at your hotel by. 7:30 pm
Itinerary
Day 1: Saqsayhuaman – Pisaq – Ollantaytambo.
Our wonderful 3 Day experience starts at 8:00am from our hotel. We start by driving to Sacsayhuaman, an impressive Inca site that sits above Cusco. The site is famous for its outstanding monoliths. Hear some background from you guide and take in the outstanding views. From Sacsayhuaman, drive to Pisaq and stop at the colorful handicraft market. There you will see an amazing array of handmade goods. Continue your guided tour visiting the archeological site located above the town. At the archeological center, there are Andean terraces, religious buildings, ceremonial sites and an interesting cemetery.
Afterwards drive through the valley and enjoy the awesome views and a nice weather. At noon we stop for lunch at Urubamba. Next on the agenda, explore the Ollantaytambo Archeological complex. Witness the perfection of the Inca stonework. Discover the amazing temples of the sun, moon and the 10 niches. This living Inca town displays narrow walkways, lined with water canals. We spent the night in Ollantaytambo, be impressed by the scenery of this ancient town.

Day 2: Maras – Moray – Chinchero – Aguas calientes
Pick up from your hotel will be at 8 a.m. The journey to our first stop at Maras is approximately one hour and 20 minutes. On the way, see, lush yellow wheat fields and some colorful local villages. The guide will be pointing out some interesting sites along the way. Maras is known as an ancient salt production center and is believed to date back to pre-Inca times. There are more than 3,000 salt pools carved into the side of the mountain, which are filled daily with a stream of water from the mountains above.
Secondly, arrive at the fascinating terraces of Moray. The site features three terraces similar to an amphitheater, that date back to Pre Inca times. It was thought that these terraces, which are carved into the depths of the earth in the shape of a circular bowl, are used to determine the optimal conditions for cultivation.
After exploring Moray, drive 30 minutes to Chinchero and visit the archeological site and see the weaving exhibition by the local woman. See a demonstration of the process and how they obtain such vibrant colors from natural plant dyes.
Drive to Ollantaytambo train station, board the train heading Aguas calientes, where a representative from Wayna Trekkers will be holding a sign with your names on it. We will leave you at your hotel lobby.

Day 3: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu “The lost city of the Incas” – Cusco.
Today prepare for the highlight of the tour: visiting Machu Picchu—the Lost City of the Incas. Breakfast will be served in the hotel, and we will board one of the first buses to Machu Picchu. Arriving as the sky brightens, enjoy the sunrise from one of the best vantage points.
Our guide will take you on a 3-hour comprehensive tour of the city. Visiting all the important sites that Machu Picchu has to offer, see all the religious sites, the amazing terracing, the residential sector, the important Royal temples and the housing, spend some time with the Llamas in the plaza and just be astonished at the location of Machu Picchu, surrounded by the mystical mountains of the Andes Mountain range.
If booked in advance take the extra hike to Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain.
After the tour of Machu Picchu, take the bus back to Aguas Calientes for lunch. You will have time to explore the town, choose a restaurant of your preference, and buy souvenirs in the local market. Later in the afternoon, you will board Expedition Train to Ollantaytambo from there our private van back to Cusco. The Wayna Trekkers representative will meet you off the train and return you safely to our hotel. Our arrival time to Cusco is around 7:30 p.m.

Booking
Arrival to Cusco.
You will be picked up by one of our team members and be driven to your hotel. For this complimentary service ensure you send your flight details at least two weeks in advance. You have to exit the airport or bus terminal, your driver cannot enter inside.
Acclimatization to the altitude:
High altitude starts to have an effect on our bodies from between 1,500m – 2,000m (4921ft – 6561ft) when our bodies start to react differently to make up for the changes in oxygen levels. As you get higher, the air gets thinner, so with every breath there is less oxygen for your body. Your body gradually adapts to getting less oxygen – you breathe faster and deeper and the body produces more red blood cells. This takes time so this is why if you go from low to high altitude too quickly, you may feel symptoms of altitude sickness until your body acclimatizes.
The Cusco region is generally set at very high elevations. The city of Cusco stands at a staggering 3 399m/ 11 152ft. However, people react differently to altitude sickness and it can present itself in a variety of symptoms. Common symptoms include: headache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, poor appetite, dizziness and disturbed sleep and in extreme cases, loss of oxygen.
There are number of ways to deal with altitude sickness. Firstly, you need to acclimate, by spending a few days in the Sacred Valley or Cusco. The body does adjust to the thin air, it just needs time. There are a number of ways to adjust to the altitude sickness before your Machu Picchu trip, that don’t require much exertion. Get lots of sleep, relax and take it easy. Another option is to watch what you consume, try to avoid alcohol and drugs and also drink lots of water and coca tea. Keep your meals light, high in calories with lots of carbs. Lastly, we recommend visiting your doctor before traveling to Peru and ask for recommendations for medication that can help with altitude sickness.
These are the recommended remedies for altitude sickness is WATER, COCA TEA and OXYGEN, IF NEEDED.

Luggage.
Some people change hotels after trip, therefore we offer a free secure luggage store while touring with us. Please advise at the briefing.
How do I pay my remaining balance?
You can pay the rest of your bill upon arrival to Cusco at our office with a card or cash if you want to avoid any extra high credit card fees. Our representative will show you the invoice confirmed at the booking time. Otherwise, you can pay through PayPal or Visa but you have to pay 5.5% service fee charged by the Credit Card company or the payment gateways.
