Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions are agreements you accept in order to do the booking, as per your safety is one of the major reasons you travel with us, please read carefully.
- Trek cancellation.
Notification related to cancellation should be notified to info@waynatrekkers.com, and this should be sent by the same person who did the deposit.
- Deposits.
You might have noticed this during your booking process, any deposit for any of our trips is 100% non-refundable. This system is the same for all travelers, due to the fact that Wayna trekkers invest a great deal of expense purchasing permits, paying services to third party providers, their conditions bind us, most of them are non – transferrable, non – changeable.
- Cancellation policy.
1) If you cancel 8 weeks or more before the date of your trip departure: Cancellation fees are equal to the amount of your deposit.
2) If you cancel 8 weeks to 4 weeks before the date of your trip departure:60 percent of the total trip price.
3) If you cancel 4 weeks to 5 days before the date of your trip departure: 80 percent of the total trip price.
4) If you cancel 5 days to 48 hours before the date of your trip departure: 100 percent of the total trip price.
Hotel Cancellations
If you are booked in a tour that includes hotels, you must know if cancellation happens less than 45 days before your trip departure 100% of the price of the hotels is still due payable. Peruvian hotel policy demands that the hotel fully bill has to be paid 30 days in advance, and all fees are non-refundable.
Hotel Check-in & Check-out Policy
- Hotel Standard Check-in time is at 1pm and check-out time is at 9am.
- Early check-in and late check-out are available subject to availability, and it may incur additional expenses.
- Cancellation, No-Show and Amendment Policy: Cancellations made 45 days
- prior to the arrival date shall not incur any cancellation charges.
Payments & Transaction Fees
- All fees associated with online or debit/credit transactions are to be covered by the client.
- The deposit must be paid by the client in order to confirm the booking. This deposit must be made by online transfer using the link provided by Wayna Trekkers.
- The balance may be paid by card, which will incur a 5.5% transaction fee. Alternatively, the client may pay in cash on their arrival with no fee.
- Failure to pay any remaining balance at least 24 hours before the start of their tour will result in automatic cancellation of the package.
Force Majeure
Wayna Trekkers is not responsible or liable for any force majeure event or circumstance that happens beyond the control of Wayna Trekkers. This is included but not limited to: Acts of God, civil or military disturbances, extreme weather, disease, technological interruptions, labor strikes, acts of war, terrorism. In the event of a force majeure, the client recognises that Wayna Trekkers may need to alter, or even cancel, a trip and will not be liable for any such alteration or cancellation.
Strikes or Protests
In the event of a strike or a protest, Wayna Trekkers reserves the right to alter a trip to ensure the safety of the client and our staff. We will always do our best to ensure that your trip progresses as planned. If this incurs additional expenses, it will be the responsibility of the client to cover the extra costs.
Public Holidays and Election Days
Trips that take place over a Peruvian public holiday or an election day will incur an additional charge per person per trip. The price is to the discretion of the staff, and will vary depending on the holiday.
Emergency Evacuation
If the client is unable to complete a trip for whatever reason, the client will be liable for the cost of transfer back to Cusco or their destination, and they will be responsible for covering any medical emergency that may occur during their trip.
Any further loss, damage, or costs related to a client’s evacuation from a trip are the responsibility of the client. The client agrees to abide by all Wayna Travel Guides advice and decisions in all circumstances, particularly in the case of evacuation.
– Insurance: Wayna Trekkers strongly recommends that the client purchase adequate travel insurance. The insurance should cover, including but not limited to, cancellations, delays, medical expenses and emergencies, interruptions due to unforeseen circumstances, loss or damage of personal possessions or equipment, and altitude sickness. The Client acknowledges that the Client is responsible for all loss or damage suffered by the Client, except as expressly provided in these Terms.
– Risk: The client acknowledges that trips operated throughout South America inherently carry a certain amount of risk. The client accepts responsibility for all risks associated with the trip, and agrees not to hold Wayna Trekkers liable for any loss, injury or damage suffered by the client in relation to any trips.
Safety and Responsibility of Clients: Clients traveling with Wayna Trekkers are expected to abide by certain basic safety rules including:
- Informing the guide of any medical condition or any other factors that may affect your or anyone elseâs safety.
- Respecting the guideâs decisions.
- Being responsible and taking care of individual equipment that is assigned to them.
- Keeping covered to avoid sun exposure and insect bites.
- Drinking plenty of water to avoid sunstroke and dehydration.
- Understanding that you are entering National parks and there are certain rules concerning litter, restricted areas, waste and wildlife that you must abide by.
- Being honest with yourself concerning how comfortable you are and if your limits are being pushed.
- Advising your guide if any medical emergency arises that is left untreated could jeopardize the safety of the entire group.
Others:
- In Peru, tourists (of less than sixty days) are exempt from the 18% sales tax at hotels. At every hotel you must present your passport to the hotel reception to prove you are a tourist. If you cannot do this they will have to charge you 18% extra for the hotel night.
- Obtaining suitable National and International flights are the responsibility of the client.
- Peru Immigration authorities require a passport valid for at least six months at the time of entry into Peru.
- Obtaining the correct vaccinations and visas for visiting Peru is the responsibility of the client. Airlines that stop in Brazil or Costa Rica may require a Yellow fever vaccine.
